Today was quite an eventful day, one that has left me reflecting on the many things I am grateful for. Most strikingly, my friend and I won tickets to be judges at a marijuana event. We had to take eight dabs, and I tell you what, I am baked from it. However, I must not neglect my writing. It was a good day, and I am grateful to be back home with my hectic family. Big shout out to Nature’s Fix Dispensary for hooking us up with those tickets!

Something else happened today that I am grateful for, albeit in a more somber way. President Trump was nearly assassinated. It’s a chilling thought, but thankfully, he survived. As Americans, we need people in high-powered positions fighting for us, and I am grateful he is still here to do that. Sadly, two people lost their lives—the shooter and a spectator. Another person was injured. It’s wild to witness such history being made, even when it’s tinged with tragedy.
On the Fourth of July, I experienced another moment of gratitude. I happened to help put out a neighbor’s fire when nobody else was around. The flames were about six feet high, licking in all directions. It reminded me how I always seem to be in the right place at the right time.

Finally, I am profoundly grateful for my family and home. We continue to grow every day, and our bonds strengthen more and more. I enjoy learning from my kids and cherishing the precious memories we create together.

In a world that often feels chaotic, never forget to practice gratefulness. Be safe out there, and hold onto the things that bring you joy and purpose.
Remember, life is a journey filled with moments that shape us. Let’s cherish the good, learn from the bad, and always strive to find the silver lining.
