This list of TV shows is in no particular order. I thought of the shows I watched as a kid and started listing them. It isn’t in an order from favorite to least favorite. But, I do remember watching the following shows at different ages.
Robot Chicken

Robot Chicken was a show that I wasn’t supposed to be watching at the age of 14-15. My brother Will and I lived with my grandparents when this show first aired. We used to stay up late (without them knowing) and watched this show as often as possible. We sometimes got caught and were told to turn the TV off. We did, but, sometimes we would pretend to be asleep until they checked on us to see if we were sleeping.
Robot Chicken, a dark humor comedy that aired on Adult Swim in 2005. I was around 15 at the time and found this show to be absolutely hilarious. Even though it was a very inappropriate show for my brother and I at our ages. He was only 12 when it came out. But, we both loved the show. I still get laughs out of it to this day. If you want to watch it, it is on Hulu.
Family Guy

Most people are familiar with Family Guy. It was released in 1999 before the whole y2k thing. I remember watching this show with my dad a lot growing up. There were a lot of great episodes that I remember and some episodes really stick out. Whether it is the famous episodes, where Peter fights the chicken or the episode where Stewie and Brian get high on mushrooms. This show is a good one! I don’t watch it as much as I used to. But, I will occasionally load up Family Guy and let it play in my bedroom while I do other stuff. It is still available on Hulu.
The Simpsons

I remember watching The Simpsons at a very young age. The show came out in 1989 and I was born that year. It is one of the very first shows I can remember watching as a kid. I remember a lot of stuff around The Simpsons growing up, but, my favorite episodes have always been the “Treehouse of Horror” episodes. Nowadays, you can watch The Simpsons on Disney+ if you have a subscription.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force

When it comes to Aqua Teen Hunger Force, I still can recite the opening song from memory. The show first aired in 2000 but I didn’t watch it until around 2008-2009. My friend Brent got me into this show. Some episodes are memorable and others not so much. I think the episode that sticks out the most are when the 8-bit aliens are harassing them. Which I do believe are a few episodes. But, the one in particular is where they take over their house. I love how they are always doing stuff to their neighbor Carl. Have you ever watched Aqua Teen Hunger Force? They did a rebrand at one point to Aqua Unit Patrol Squad or something along those lines.
South Park

South Park was one of my favorite shows growing up. I love crude comedy shows and this one takes the cake. Whether it is Cartman and his cheesy poofs or KFC gravy, this show is hilarious. My favorite episode is the one where they cosplay as ninjas and Butters accidently gets a throwing star stuck in his eye. The boys then dress Butters up like a dog and tries to take him to a vet. The show first aired in 1997. Right around when Pokemon came out. And I remember watching this show while trading Pokemon cards around then. I’m almost 100% certain, most readers who read my content have seen South Park. If you haven’t, you probably live under a rock.
Pokemon

Pokemon first aired in 1998 and I watched the show quite a bit growing up. I eventually stopped watching it until more recently. My oldest boy, Xavier, watches it from time to time. Usually the movies. But, the I watched it up until the Pokemon 2000 movie came out. Which also reminds me of the gold plated card that was given to me at the theater. Do you remember that? Did you get the gold plated Mew? If so, let me know with a comment.
Dragon Ball Z

Another great show from my childhood, Dragon Ball Z. This show first aired in America back in 1996 and was a huge part of a few of my childhood years. I used to never miss a show. There are many fans of this TV show. I had a friend back then named Tobias who was great at drawing the characters. I could only dream of drawing as good as him.
Whether you are a Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin , or a Trunks fan like me, this show was action packed. I love the show to this day. Even though I haven’t watched it in years. Definitely a lot of great memories because of this show. Some episodes had become conversation pieces with friends. Other memories include me running around and pretending I was Kamehameha-ing enemies in the air. I used to wish I could just jump off the ground like a super saiyan and fly away. Did you do anything like that?
Futurama

This show originally aired in 1999. Featuring a character “Fry” who was accidentally frozen on new years, for 1000 years. When unfrozen Fry is placed in the year 2999 and aliens/robots roam the earth. This show is definitely a great show and I still watch it from time to time these days. There is something about the characters that keep me coming back. I have always been a fan of Bender, Zoidberg, and other unique characters who do ridiculous things throughout the entire series.
There are many other shows that I remember watching during my childhood. I didn’t list them. I could go on for days writing about all the shows I remember watching. However, some that almost made the list, The X-Files, MacGyver, That 70’s Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Animaniacs, Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, Red Dwarf, Sealab 2021, and a few others.
What are your favorite childhood shows? If you answered the wordpress question, post a link to your site in a comment and I will check it out.
Anyway, have a great day or night readers! I will be around.
