Creating Content That Makes Me Happy

I often think of times in the past as being most happy. I think I was most happy when I was skateboarding 8+ hours per day as a teenager. Even though my primary focus should have been on schoolwork, I found a lot of joy skating. I practiced every single day and I was really good. I am still pretty good. I don’t get to do it as often as I would like, but, I still get to do it from time to time. I think this coming year may be one of the happiest years of my life. I am not 100% certain. I could only try. The thing I need to do better is to live in the present moment and make the best out of the situations I find myself in. Without taking things so personally.

It’s not like I am a perfect person. Whatever that means? Why strive for perfection? When I can do my best, regardless of the outcome. That’s what I aim for.

I often find my mind clouded with noise. Stuff like: “Why even bother?” or “I will probably just fail again.” or something similar. What motivates me to do better?

The thing that motivates me, is the fact that I know that eventually all the hard work will eventually pay off. Even if it isn’t the instant gratification I get for doing something like beating a video game. It makes me happier when I am making them. Though, I cannot deny a victory in battle royal games is pretty cool too. That can be exciting! However, I think my success and financial future are much more important. That’s why I am constantly trying to create content or things to sell. Even if they don’t have the expected outcomes I hope for. It’s more about the learning process and not allowing intrusive thoughts to destroy my abilities to complete the project.

One thing that I am going to start doing is taking polls with stories I publish on my site. The polls will be intended to figure out the direction of the stories I write with the input from readers. I haven’t really finished many stories on my site due to losing the general direction of the story. Utilizing ai only helps so much with writing. Without the story not feeling genuine or putting the reader to sleep. I want people to enjoy my content. Not use it to ease themselves into sleep. Even though, that might be good too. Just not for my writing.

For example , I was on the phone with my father earlier. I asked him “What kind of coloring book should I make?” and the answer was actually a good one. He told me to make a coloring book full of the alphabet. Which at this point, I could easily do that without even utilizing ai, to an extent. The letters could be made with paint.net. All I would have to do is create the letters text. After, create a new layer with the same letter, shrink it down a couple pixels, and color it white. The bottom layer being black, could be adjusted and the top layer adjusted as well. Until I create an image I am satisfied with. However, I am a little more work ethical oriented than that. I would likely have an entire next page with an object referring to the letter it is intended for. Like a is for apple or something similar. Though, apples always seem to be the go to.

First things first, I had planned on making a bunch of coloring book pages for Christmas. I might be a little late. But, once I get that out of the way, I could promote it for years. Just like my notebooks or grid paper books I have made. I could promote it during the summer before school and see how well my sales increase. And with holiday stuff, I could promote that during appropriate months before the holidays. Christmas, is just one of the holidays. It would be cool to do it for all the holidays that pass. Don’t you think?

Either way, that’s some of the stuff that makes me happy to think about.

The time when I was the most happy was when each of my kids were born. Before they could walk and get into everything, they were so helpless. And to see how much they have grown since, has been a priceless journey. I don’t ever want to miss a single day with my kids. My goal is to fight my way through all of the financial errors I have made and continue to strive for excellence and teach my kids how to be themselves in the process. All while learning how to be a better version of me in the process. Though, some days are better than others. Everyday can be considered an opportunity to learn something new that will benefit my life in some sort of way. Knowing that I have an access to this kind of stuff makes me happy.
